DAVIT was born in Sukhumi, Georgia, on the 3rd of December 1982 and is of Georgian nationality. Forced to emigrate because of war (first to Russia, then to Ukraine and finally to Georgia), he graduated at the Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Law and Social Science, specializing in Political Science. Specialized in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at the University of Tbilisi, he is currently attending a Masters in Local Human Development and International Cooperation at the University of Florence. He is founder and director of the NGO “The Union of Development and protect of Georgia” and counselor of the “Cultural Democracy Development Project”. GEORGE was born in Jerusalem on the 1st November 1982 and is of Palestinian nationality. Thanks to his great interest in economics he graduated in Economics and Information Technology at the University of Bethlehem. He is currently attending a Masters in Local Human Development and International Cooperation at the University of Florence. He has already covered different positions including the area direction at the Palestinian center for Peace and Democracy in Bethlehem and Hebron and the employment in public relations at the Holy Land Christian Enterprises in Boston (USA) and at the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation HCEF. Before coming to Italy he also worked as procurement manager for the Intercontinental Hotel (Jacer Palace) in Bethlehem.

GUY was born in Jerusalem (Israel) on the 23rd May 1985 and is of Israeli nationality. During years he developed an authentic predilection for politics: at the age of 14 he collaborated with the Israeli ‘Meretz’ social-democratic party and he then helped Sudanese refugees of Darfur to obtain asylum in Israel. Graduate in Social Studies and Psychology, he attended the Faculty of Sociology with specialization in Economics and Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for one year and is currently attending the Degree Course in Political Science of the University of Florence. Among his work experiences, other than the collaboration with the Meretz party in Jerusalem, are collaborations with the Willy Brandt Center in Jerusalem (center for multicultural dialogue and peace) and the UN, as delegate at the special session for children in New York.

JOSEPHINE was born in Yonibana in the district of Tonkolili (Sierra Leone) on the 10th November 1981 and is of Sierra Leonean nationality. As a child she lived in Yanibana, city which was conquered by the rebels of the RUF (Revolutionary United Front) for a year during the ten-year civil war from 1991 to 2001. After becoming a refugee she moved to Makeni with her family and then to Freetown where she was able to finish her studies graduating in Educational Science, economics course of study. In her country she has worked as a secretary, teacher and electoral officer. First African female student of the International Hall of Residence, she chose to attend a Masters in Human Local Development and International Cooperation at the Faculty of Educational Science of the University of Florence.

JOVANA was born in Gradiska (Bosnia Herzegovina) on the 24th January 1981 and is of Serbian nationality. She graduated as a teacher of English language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, department of English language and literature, of the University of Banja Luka (Bosnia Herzegovina). Up to now she has been teaching English in Gradiska, city at the border between Bosnia and Croatia, she had already been to Italy and she is also an English-Italian interpreter. To widen her horizons she chose to study a Masters in Local Human Development and International Cooperation at the University of Florence.

KAN was born on the 7th November 1987 in the Republic of Abkhazia, which proclaimed itself independent from Georgia. After graduation he attended two years of Applied Mathematics in Sukhum; to continue his studies he chose the Degree course in Political Science (Governmental Science curriculum) at the University of Florence. He has worked as an IT technician and LAN administrator.

KHATIA was born in Tbilisi (Georgia) on the 1st December 1987 and is of Georgian nationality. During her childhood she lived in Abkhazia but then had to leave the region because of the conflict between the two Caucasian populations (1992-1993). Graduate in Russian Philology, major in translation and litterary relations, at the University of Tbilisi, she chose to continue her studies with a Masters in Winery Management and Marketing of the University of Florence. Thanks to her good knowledge of Italian she has published translations of various Italian authors, among which Susanna Tamaro, Dino Buzzati and Natalia Ginzburg, on the internet and for a Georgian literary magazine. She has also been sales and marketing manager for a Georgian winery.

BAIO was born in Sierra Leone on the 17th January 1982 and is of Sierra Leonian nationality. He achieved a diploma in Information Technology and to continue his studies he has chosen a course in  Cisco IT in Perugia.

ROUBA was born in Lebanon on the 3rd October 1987 and is of Lebanese and Canadian nationality (her father has worked in Canada for many years). Graduate in Tourism and Hotel Management, to continue her studies she has chosen a Masters in Social Economics.

MARWA was born in Israel on the 6th June 1985, she resided in Beer-Sheva and is of Arab-Israeli nationality. Graduate in Pharmacy, she has worken in a hospital. She chose a Masters in Social Economics.

ELAD was born in Israel on the 19th of May 1982 and is of Israeli nationality. Since he was 19 he has been commander of the army special corps, participating in many military operations. Graduate in Economics and Political Science at the University of Ben Gurion, to continue his studies he has chosen a Masters in Social Economics.

MAGOMED was born in Chechnya (Russian Federation) on the 22nd of June 1985, he lived in Grozny and is of Russian nationality. Graduate in Economics he chose a Masters in Social Economics.

MAGOMED was born in Ingushetya (Russian Federation) on the 22nd of June 1985 and is of Russian nationality. Graduate in Logistics Economics, he would like to commit to the development of the tourist industry in his country. He chose a Masters in Economics.

ANNA was born in Rostov on Don (Russia) on the 3rd of September 1987 and is of Russian nationality. Graduate in Psychology, she would like to contain the inter-ethnical conflicts of her territory. To continue her studies she has chosen a Masters in Social Psychology.

KAMA was born on the 9th December 1985 in the Republic of Abkhazia, which proclaimed itself independent from Georgia. Graduate in Architecture and Design, she would like to organize art courses for the children of her country. She chose a Masters in Architecture and Design.

ALEKSANDRE was born in Tbilisi (Georgia) on the 7th of June 1984 and is of Georgian nationality. Graduate in Law and practicing lawyer, he is a member of the Ngo ‘Academy for Peace and Development’ which unites young Abkhazes, Ossetians and Georgians to make them participate in seminars favouring a message reconciliation. To continue his studies he has chosen a Masters in Social Economics.

ANA was born in Croatia on the 27th June 1983 and she is of Serbian nationality. Graduate in Italian Philology, to continue her studies she has chosen a Masters in Social Politics.

TANJA was born in Macedonia on the 7th of December 1983 and is of Macedonian nationality. Graduate in Psychology, she is studying communications, area which she has also chosen for her studies in Italy.

DEJAN was born on the 24th of June 1990 in Serbia, but he lives in Bosnia Herzegovina and is of Bosniak nationality. He achieved  a diploma at the Technical School and is now studying a degree in Agricultural Science.

ARMEND was born in Pristina (Kosovo) on the 13th of November 1986 and is of Kosovar nationality. He is the first student coming from this country to attend the International Hall of Residence, he is graduate in Science, Art and Technologies. He has chosen a Masters in Economics.

CEDERIC was born in Sarba, Lebanon, on the 30th September 1986 and is of Lebanese nationality. From 1993 to 1995 he lived in the U.S. with his family.
