On the 29th April 2010 a new ‘Peace Relations’ meeting was held at the University of Udine. Armend, from Kosovo, and Khatia, from Georgia, brilliantly told the story of the Caucasus and of the project ‘Ventidipacesucaucaso’ in the capital of the Italian region of Friuli. Prof. Marisa Michelini’s speech on ‘scientific culture as a message for peace’ was followed by the interventions of the Councilor for Culture of the municipality and of Mr. Fulvio Salimbeni, Director of the ‘Irene’ Peace Research Center. The quality of speeches reaffirmed the richness of a cultural debate which has the necessity to bring together more and more new actors. The meetings and round tables on conflicts in the Caucasus organized by Rondine in agreement with the university consortium for educational orientation G.E.O. continue therefore their attempt to seek the mobilization of the interest and contribution of Italian universities. |
