In 2008 a new answer was given to war by youth: the Document in 14 points for Peace in the Caucasus. And, for the first time, it was the elders to take the advice of the new generation.

The high consideration of the 150 international experts coming from all the Caucasian regions  for the initiative of Rondine’s students made adults stir up a headstrong conviction in dialogue and a suggestive and effective force of reaction against resignation to hatred and war.

It is for this that they came from far away to assist the first ‘International Conference of the Peoples of the Caucasus’ held at La Verna from the 16^th to the 19^th May 2009: university professors and human rights activists, exponents of the worlds of culture, art, economy, journalism, religion and all those who have met the enemy, have experienced war and want to put an end to it.
