“What is the fastest thing in the world?” my father used to ask me when I was a child and everything made me curious. When I growth up, my answers became enriched and, with my first studies, they became even more learned: “the sound, dad!” – “Nooo” he answered back, prolonging his vowel when I deliberately made the same mistake, just because I wanted him to perform that magic rite.“The light” then I said, with the knowing glance of somebody who was discovering the final thruth.
Once more another “Nooo” resounded in the room, while I quivered sat above his knees: “Nino, it’s the thought the fastest thing in the world”.
Before my waiting, my father continued with “Shall we try?” – “Yes”.
“Well” he went on, closing his eyes and trying to concentrate: “I’m on Mars” – “And I’m on Saturn” I answered back. “I’m on the Great Bear” and we kept on getting lost within the Milky Way. From there we shouted with feeble shouts, describing the spells we were seeing, just before coming back to the room from we were taken off.
I’ve learned to travel in this way, just staying still and sketching magic drawings among real and unknown things, tying indelible emotions, sharing them with who was establishing eternal bonds with me, which went beyond any distance.
If the travel moves something within your inner life, it is not dissipation, but it’s a change and a moral growth.
On the eve of the first Rondine Friendship Trip that we want to carry out along with the peoples of the South of the Caucasus, I think that something of your inner life is gambled, as it usually occurs in every trip. The trip will end, what remains is the memory of the good things we’ve made.
This trip is the desire of building up or reinforcing certain bridges. They must be based on the inner dimension if we want them to be authentic and free from any rhetoric. In the daily diary we are going to update on this website, we will report it.
We won’t stay in the same room, but we could establish important bonds by sharing an “extraordinary daily”.
