“To us, to you, to all Caucasians!”
This is how they toast in the Caucasus, where the tradition that ties the table to wine is in some places accompanied by long speeches that start dialogue and reflection on a dimension of sincerity and opening to others.
Coinciding with the war that broke out in 2008 the students of Rondine, in collaboration with the Agricultural Consortium of Siena, dedicated the first wine series “Vigna della Pace” to the Caucasus.
The Tuscan IGT wine in a limited numbered series is harvested and produced by the students of the International Hall of Residence and is given to national and international authorities as a symbol of reconciliation.
The “Vigna della Pace” project was presented by the students in Miami at the ‘Clinton Global Initiative University’.  Pope Benedict XVI is among those diplomatic, institutional, political and religious personalities who have received the bottle “Vigna della Pace”.
