It is from new popular ways of mobilization that we expect the request for peace in the Caucasus to become stronger. Spontaneous initiatives and collective action originating from grassroots have the potential to spread their message exponentially and involve an increasing number of people and places around the world.
Rondine’s Document in 14 points for Peace in the Caucasus is an example of popular diplomacy intending to give a result at an international level. Started by the initiative of a handful of young people, the ’14 points’ have become a communicative force extending progressively to the rest of the world.
It is for this reason that we consider the flash mob to be an action akin to the project “Ventidipacesucaucaso”. It is for this reason that we intend to involve mobbers from all round the world to make public opinion aware of the situation in the Caucasus.
The flash mob is an event characterized by short duration which assembles in a spontaneous way a group of people who don’t know each other but contact through the web and set an appointment in a public place to perform a symbolic act of reflection and collective sharing.
