Estimated by the Iork as the sixth best university in the sector of research, the Galatasaray University was officially born only in 1993.Since the end of the 15th century thou, its precursor already existed, an educational institution at the present site of the Lycée de Galatasaray, started for the purpose of preparing young men for public service of the Ottoman Empire.
Today, its cultural tradition aims at the knowledge of French, offering students courses and lessons entirely based on this language.
After listening to the testimonies of the young students from the International Hall of Residence of Rondine, the deputy provost, Prof. Sakir Ersoy, admitted he was really interested in the project and stated: “It is a marvelous project! I’m on your side! Unfortunately conflicts are difficult to solve, but this is not a reason for doing nothing for their resolution. Truth is that the world is divided in those who are willing to coexist and those who are not. We must work to increase the number of the willing.”
A new friendship that could soon make the first Turkish student study at Rondine.
