“Rondine’s work is very important for Armenia” this is how Prof. Stepan Grigoryan, President of the Analytical Center for Globalization and Regional Cooperation, presented the Document in 14 points yesterday in Yerevan, Armenia. During the round table organized by Mr. Grigoryan and Rondine, at the presence of many Armenian political authorities, the exponents of the Georgian, German, Lithuanian, Indian, Lebanese and Spanish embassies and representatives from around 30 NGOs, it was possible to carry out an in-depth analysis of Rondine’s document discussing its main points and opening the debate on the Citadel, the international students and the project “Ventidipacesucaucaso”.“The result of a great work is now receiving great cultural and civil recognition” affirmed Franco Vaccari, president of Rondine Cittadella della Pace. “This document opens concrete roads” he continued, “it is made of paper, but also of flesh; it is not a prototype to be realized, but the result of many previous concrete actions.”
During the meeting Mr. Vaccari also officially presented Rondine’s first Armenian student, announcing his intention to select an Azeri student soon, so as to set the basis for pacific coexistence and open dialogue for the promotion of a culture of peace, as Rondine has been doing for years.
Stepan Grigoryan was one of the participants at the international Conference of the Peoples of the Caucasus at La Verna in 2009, “it was really emotional for me to see so many young people coming from countries in conflict sit at the same table with a serene and propositional attitude” he told the participants at the meeting. “We now want to bring the atmosphere of La Verna in all the Caucasus”.
“The crazy outside world is trying to convince us that we are enemies, but our answer is that instead it’s natural to be friends and we can find solutions by working together” said Guy, Israeli student, “this project works on individuals to reach peace” he then concluded.
An important meeting for the project “Winds of peace on Caucasus” as it ended with the commitment of many of the attendants to study and promote the 14 points for peace in the Caucasus.
