| Rondine spreads the name of Arezzo in the world |

 “I receive with honour and surprise this Honorary Degree and I dedicate it to the religious and civil society of Arezzo, the city where I was born and brought up and where Rondine was born and developed”: this what professor Franco Vaccari, President of the Association Rondine, stated when he began his Lectio Magistralis lecture at David Guramishvili Georgian International University of Tbilisi in Georgia, where he is at the moment in order to lead the Delegation of Rondine in the “Friendship Trip” in the Caucasus.The cause is the granting of the Honorary Degree in International Diplomacy of the course in Conflict Resolution to Mr. Vaccari for the peace actions made by Rondine, which starts from the Universities and students. “This Degree is an Academic award, and therefore a cultural and scientific award for our action” - said Vaccari – “ The fact that it happens in Georgia is really important because the story of Rondine has started in the Caucasus. The Association Rondine intends to be a study workshop for the Universities, all along cultural circles. We work on people by trying to train genuine peace keepers and remove the venom through the peaceful coexistence and mutual acquaintance” concluded the President of Rondine. The Rector of the Georgian University granted the Degree to Mr. Vaccari in the presence of the lectures and students of the athenaeum : “Thanks for all the things that Rondine does for the students – said the Rector – the doors of our University are opened in order to cooperate togheter.” The Association has worked for about 15 years in order to promote the dialogue and the culture of peace through the experience of the International Hall of Residence where young students from Countries which are in conflict or which are experiencing a crisis (Balkans, Middle East, South Caucasus, Russian Federation, Africa) can live an international cohabitation experience and take off for their countries with a greater awareness that everybody may hold a seed of peace and do something for the conflicts resolution. |
