 The delegation’s first day in Baku started full speed. Many important appointments today in the capital of Azerbaijan for Rondine to develop new ties with political, religious and academic institutions of the country and promote the Document in 14 points for Peace in the Caucasus.Franco Vaccari, the president of the organization, has words full of trust and optimism: “A handful of hours to get to Azerbaijan from Italy, from the Mediterranean to the Caspian Sea, from the small village of Rondine to the minarets of Baku to build a friendship bridge, a medieval bridge with many arcades”. “I accepted the challenge of the friendship trip to the South Caucasus because in my opinion friendship is the first step towards long lasting peace” - says Guy, Israeli student of the delegation of Rondine. “This is Rondine’s spirit: to take a message of peace, be with the enemy and make him become our friend”. |
